What is an industrial router?

An industrial router is a device with a ruggedized enclosure and internal components built to handle temperature extremes,
moisture and dust, that provides secure connectivity and communications over a cellular network.
Industrial routers provide the communications backbone for all applications that run in outdoor environments,
including true industrial applications like mining, oil and gas and agriculture, as well as digital signage
and smart cities applications like street lighting, metering and wastewater management.

The CMM1 Core® plug-in LTE modem provides LTE Cat M1/NB-IoT with an industrial operating temperature range. CMM1 plug-in modem is an excellent choice for IoT use cases.

The CMM1 operates in the same an industrial temperature range (-40°C to +70°C) as the Digi IX20. Like other Digi Core® plug-in LTE modems, the CMM1 offers dual SIM slots with Carrier Smart Select™ for optimal connectivity. Digi IX20 CMM1 is available with or without Wi-Fi, and with or without accessories.

The CMF4 Core® plug-in LTE modem provides cellular band support for North America such as band 71.

The CMF4 operates in the same an industrial temperature range (-40°C to +70°C) as the Digi IX20. Like other Digi Core® plug-in LTE modems, the CMF4 offers dual SIM slots with Carrier Smart Select™ for optimal connectivity.
